Christina's Birthday Cake

I can't  believe our little princess is already a year old, seems to happen so quickly.
My daughter (Christina's Mom) and I decided to make the cake and smash cake for her celebration, and we both picked out the same picture on Pinterest at different times,
So that was the plan, and it turned out fabulous!

We decided just two cakes would be good,  so let the baking begin !

next step the crumb coat ,

The beautiful platter belonged to Libby My daughters Grandma, 

The Pink Butter Cream Frosting for the Ombre Rosettes,

Now to begin the rosettes, the piping bags are filled and we are using the wilton 1M tip,

We are so pleased with the way they turned out. And would so do it again!

So of course I created a Pinterest photo also here it is,

Christina's Birthday was so much fun, and she was so stinking cute in her birthday tutu.

In case you were wondering (She was so dainty with the smash cake at first but after awhile she got her smash on, what a mess lol)

Let me say first I Love This Stamp !
I am totally loving florals lately, I'd blame spring but its basically spring or summer every day here.
I'm trying to find my perfect peach combo in copic markers in this image. Again the darker colors are Spectrum Noir Sparkle Pens.

Day 30 !! 

Yay I'm so excited to have done this event , Thank you Kathy for hosting it ! 

I colored the free digital image again this time in a softer palette and played with some of the soft spectrum noir sparkle pens to add the dark contrasting colors.

 I have been doing this a lot lately and I'm loving it.

Day 28, Came with a very vivid memory of two beautiful little girls and I singing the Teddy Bears picnic song 30 years ago! Can that even be possible lol

As I was coloring these cuties I was singing the song and when I realized it, I had that flash back of my girls very little and a long time ago. I love when that happens .

Day 27, of the challenge I used a Stampendous stamp called Nestled Bird,
And this is absolutely one of my favorite stamps! I colored the Stamped image with,  Yes you guessed it...Copic markers using a little dot technique on the bird to give him a ''new feather appearance''

Day 26, 

I found this  digital image on a Google search, and colored it with copic markers. I really focused on trying to get the depth right, so that the flowers looked on top of the leaves. Not to bad but still need a bit more work.

I will be cutting out the image with the Brother scan and cut so I can pop it up on a card.

Today I used  a free digital stamp , I colored it with copics and then added glitter to the centers with my favorite glue (Art glitter glue),  and I think it's very pretty .

I colored 6 tulips from Altenew"s (Tulip)Stamps  but these 3 are all that survived the grandson lol . they were colored with Copics, and put in this super cute

Day 23, these cute little bunnies are from Mama Elephant, The egg is from Simon says Stamp and the background is Neenah solar white 110 lb. card stock cut out with a spellbinders Gold labels 34 die. 

I used colpic's to  color all the images. They were part an Easter Basket

I'm going to work on bringing the Blog up to date this week.

I can't believe I'm this far behind. So here we go lets start with.....

Day 22 , I was challenged by a Youtube friend to only use Bic Markers ..... I accepted the challenge and found it quite challenging with only the few markers I had, 
but we can create with anything we have, Thats what I always say .

Day 21, 

I'm not going to lie today was hard to pull off ,  Not enough sleep, and my grandson almost three, was in active overdrive! By the way I could hardly keep up with  my granddaughter also, she's 10 months old.  But I'm super proud of the work I did and that I got it posted on time. 

I'm showing this photo in progressions, I thought it would be fun to share how it worked out, I used Copic Markers to color the image and these cuties are a  digi from the Greeting Farm Stamps called cake topper kiss ,

 Her name is Mae. I colored her with copic markers, the dress, eyes and flowers in violets and her hair in E's and YR's and  then I cut her out with the Brother Scan and Cut .

Day 16,

It was super hard for me to post this image, The perfectionist side of me was not happy lol,

But the reason for doing this challenge is for me is to keep trying things that are not easy ,

And watercolor is Hard for me!

 THIS stamp by Stampendous and it's called Teapot Posies, I Water colored it with Zig real color pens. I am happy it reflects the vintage vibe I was going for.

Day 15, I can hardly believe this challenge is at the halfway mark,

 And can I tell you how much I'm enjoying it !

The image is from The Greeting Farm,  They are in the Digi section. The little boy image is Cute Troop Ian,  And the Girl is Jessica, I Colored both of them using Copic Markers.

Then I used The Brother Scan and Cut to cut them out. (I Love My Scan And Cut) Now to 

get them on cards,

Day 10 of the 30 Day Coloring Challenge,

 I used Zig clean color real brush pens to watercolor these beautiful daffodils from the Sending Love Stamp set 💕from Gina K Designs.

The first image I used VersaMark Ink and  Ranger Liquid Platinum embossing powder to stamp the image then watercolored with the Zig Real Color Pens.

 The second image was stamped out with VersaFine Black Ink then watercolored with the Zig Real Color Pens Adding a dark green.

I blended with distress inks ( Squeezed Lemonade, Mustard Seed, Wild honey)

I heat embossed the image with Rangers Liquid Platinum then used my markers to water color it,

Day 9 of the 30Day Coloring Challenge. 
This stamp is Botanical Hello from Mama Elephant, And I colored it with Prismacolor pencils, the colors Are :
Pinks 993, 995  Yellows 916, 1003 Purples 1008, 932, 933
Greens 910, 992, 909 Teals 105, 905 White 938

The  card stock is From Simon says stamp Audrey blue (my absolute favorite) and the craft
Is actually from one of their card kits, also a favorite of mine 💕
I added the white dots with Nuvo drops, and just because I love them so, 
I added the scalloped bow dies (just for the picture) from My Creative Time.

Day 8 of the 30 day Coloring Challenge ,

 Today I watercolored this Altenew Stamp ( Peony Bouquet) 

Using Kuretake  Gansai Tambi watercolors ,  

The Colors in the petals are # 31 and #33

The Colors in the leaves are # 51, #52 and #40

Thre watercolored background is # 61

I used the Spellbinders Lacy Circles Nestabilites dies to trim the image down and

I'll be putting it on a card front before the end of the month when I show case all 30 cards I created using the images from this challenge. 

I have to be honest and say I struggle with this method of coloring lol, But they say practice makes perfect So I keep trying.

Copic Colored and then fussy cut out.

Day 5

Simon Says Stamp (Some Bunny)

Colored with Topics and cut out with The Brother Scan and Cut.

Day 6

Neat And Tangled (Cottontail Cuties)

Copic Colored and the background is blended and spattered 

Distress Ink in Abandoned Coral.

Day 7

Copic colored and I channeled my inner child here, Lol

Wow What a week, My thought was to do this challenge in thirds, so Copics , colored pencils, then ending with water coloring (this scares me the most), but honestly it will end up being what ever I feel in the moment I sit down to play.
